Re: Weird
The more I look at this, the more I am convinced this is set up for tending fish lines/trotlines - right mid mount helm, shelf outboard, and brackets off the side. Not generally a first choice for a fishing hull though - at least if you actually catch any fish.

LoL yeah. You can't make reason out of crazyRobertB wrote:Take a look at the PVC pipe from the bow, I do not see where it goes into the boat to act as a vent - really think it is for the anchor line. And I really hope the engine was removed since it actually still had value - to sell. Why am I debating this![]()

Re: Weird
Really strange - someone using it as an apartment? free rent as long as it's floating in the bayou and can be moved, right? the white pipe on the deck looks like an attempt to create a pump out or shower drain?
really really weird.
On the highway in New Mexico there are signs for a roadside attraction called "The THING!" , this could be it.

Re: Weird
I don't think it's the same boat. The bow rail bases on the weird one are attached to the hull. The one in the link looks halfway decent. The one on ebay looks like a basket case.

It's the same one Ix. The registry numbers are the same in both pictures.Ixneigh wrote:I don't think it's the same boat. The bow rail bases on the weird one are attached to the hull. The one in the link looks halfway decent. The one on ebay looks like a basket case.

I'm impressed you guys found it.

ps. that thing is an abomination, IMHO. The striping rinky-dink DIY razzle-dazzle effect does effectively break up the large size of the freeboard. And it breaks me up too.

Re: Weird
I think those are attachment points for pontoons. If I'm seeing it correctly, there are what might be clevis pins for attaching the pontoons inside the wings.mastreb wrote:The side wings are to damp rocking.
No. The forward end of the pipe is distinctly pointed inboard - very close to where an anchor might rest.mastreb wrote:The PVC pipe going to the bow is a head vent designed to take the smell as far away as possible.
