This time of year, I like the old Willie Nelson song:
On the boat again,
I just can't wait to get on the boat again.
Goin' places that I've never been.
And I can't wait to get on the boat again.
On the boat again,
Like a band of pirates, we go down the seaway.
Insisting that the wind be blowin' our way,
And our way.
On the boat again,
Just can't wait to get on the boat again.
The life I love is sailing with my friends.
And I can't wait to get on the boat again.

I dont play anything when on the boat...I like the sound of the water and wind in the sails...thinking of taking the XM along to listen to Old Time Radio after we hit the sack.

There is something about good smooth jazz, winds and waves, you can't beat Chris Botti's album "Slowing Down the World" and "Night Sessions".

After a beautiful day on the bay with the sounds of bow slicing the waters, the wind in the sails, a glass of old vine zinfindal and smooth jazz at the slip works for me.

It's great to here all the suggestions and I have added some to my ipod collection. I also came accross some great folk songs from "Jonathan Edwards" that go along with sailing very well. He is popular for that song "Sunshine"(go away today) but alot of his songs are really good.

I've found the public library to be a good source of music for the iPod.

You just cannot beat "Cool Change" by Little River Band. A true sailing song. "The wind and whales they are my brothers."
