Personally the only problems I had were the roller (fixed) the spreaders under the lifelines (fixed by raising carriers) and occasionally the lines getting hooked up on something that gets better each time but easy if a second person there to help unhook, when travelling all rigging and sails are left on mast so it's pretty quick but haven't bothered to check times but it's still something that has to be done for sometimes very little use.
Even though all lines are aft etc it's still a hassle at times to bother getting sails up etc for the limited time and stress (from the admiral) something quick simple that doesn't heel the boat but can be used to stabilise if caught in rough water could be a viable alternative (still thinking).
Yes you don't want to fall off the boat especially onto the hard if it's concrete, did that off a high dinghy on trailer, well think I did as can't remember thankfully, the extra 3-4 ' of the mac might not be as good an outcome though mind you this one only turned out ok because the bloke with me held my head up out of the water (where I rolled?) untill I regained conciousness to crawl up the ramp away from a 4m croc coming towards the blood (so he says) and also lucky there was a clinic only an hour away to clip it up as the next medical was almost a day away. :D
Funny now especially as I don't remember the hurt from the first half hour or so.
