Re: LED running lights

I just checked the bulbs in my OEM cabin lights, and they're Osram 5007L bulbs at 5W, with BA15S base. I got them at an autoparts store, once I realized they're automotive. Should be no trouble finding an LED equivalent.
I went with low wattage because the brighter ones I replaced were just TOO bright. Not so much when messing about inside the boat in the driveway, but turning one on at night, even a single LED is very bright. In fact, I use a single LED battery stick-up unit in the head, and that's plenty of light for the admiral in the middle of the night.
An ideal solution would be bright overhead lights, and very dim lights, plus red lights, but I've got much bigger fish to fry right now, so I just live with relatively dim overhead white lights.
