Funny stuff this. Weve had cable since it came out. Cant do Business From the home without it. My 23 y/o daughter says she thinks she remembers having dialup and my 12 y/o says "did you have dialup when you were a kid?"
We currently have a file/print server/firewall pc upstairs. it is the only hardwire in the house. 4 laptops barely meet the family tech requirements . Im laying in bed typing this on a semens/cingular pocket pc/phone. A must for the business person on the go. I figured out how to configure the gprs settings to my cingular pcmcia settings without switching sims. However I am currently connected via 802.11 g.
We have a range antenna run off of our router so we can get a signal on all 4 floors. Works so well you can surf the net from the square, 1/4 mi away.
Tech overload but you darn enineersgare in cahoots with the marketing guys and have figured out how to convince us we cant live without the gadgets and gizmos. How did i ever do business w/o all the crap!
