HOCKEY?? What? Where out here can you find a HOCKEY!?

We got a "hockey" team out here called "The Gulls" and the mascot is a seagull named "Sandy", and the highlight of the hockey game here in San Diego is when they fly the radio controlled blimp around inside the sports arena. It's so funny people don't even watch the game, they just go there to eat nachos and sometimes "Sandy" will skate around the arena throwing chocolate hockey pucks out to the kids.

That's about as exciting "hockey" gets around here, and ferget about finding "an old wooden hockey stick"! That would be really rare.

The aluminum tube that holds the dinette table up makes a good substitute though.

Agreed. In fact, when Sheryl at BWY showed it to me she joke about it. "We sell these. For some reason people don't want to just make one themselves." Gotta love capitalism. Fills a market.

That's not too far a trip for you BOAT, to see a real hockey team.

The universe will someday align when the Leafs take home the cup.....

Biggest joke ever was back in the 70's when I lived in L.A. my buddy and I would drive to the Forum to see the Kings play (that was BEFORE Gretzky) and it was a total joke, people yelling out "Let me hear the two minute warning!" about 2 seconds before the 2 minute warning sounded.

And the Announcer getting on the horn and saying "Kings Fans!! Wouldn't you like to have some . . . " And at that very moment the entire place would explode with screams and yells as the entire crowd screamed at the same time "NOOOOOOooo!!" just to drown out the last word in the Announcers sentence: the last word was "Nachos!".

Worst Nachos in the Western Hemisphere. The Kings lost every game, every time.
Leafs could beat Kings easy before Gretsky, Kings should not have been NHL at that time.

Gulls play Ducks in a Hockey??? Gulls are not NHL (not good enough) and if Ducks are NOT NHL they should be.
