Re: Southport Sail
I'll be meeting everyone on the river Saturday Morning and following you guys into Wilmington.
I want to spend some time with my newly minted 5-year-old doing what he wants Friday so I've had to compromise.
What time are you guys planning to leave out of South Port?
The tide doesn't look favorable until the afternoon, unless you guys leave super early I was planning to be out @9 and playing around tacking down south until we meet up.

With wind and tide in our favor there won't be any hurry to get started. should only take us 4 to 5 hours to get to Wilmington.vkmaynard wrote:With a Mac?SENCMac26x wrote:The tide doesn't look favorable until the afternoon...![]()

Re: Southport Sail
This was an excellent trip, even if I missed most of the chatter because the skipper on my boat forgot to plug in the antennae.
The best part about the trip didn't happen until we got home this morning, when my 2 oldest boys (6 and 5) ran up to Mommy and said "Yesterday was the best day ever!" and talked her ear off.
By the way Cindy, you are really popular with the tounger sailors...but not quite as memorable as the "Funny guy who talked liked a pirate"
Here are some decent pictures I captured.

Looking forward to the pirate sail.

Where was this picture taken, if you don't mind my asking?SENCMac26x wrote:
Edit: Invoking my best Google-fu, and without peeking at the next post which answered my question because I didn't know it was there, from the street and satellite views and the appearance of the lift bridge, it appears you were at the docks of the Hilton Wilmington Riverside. <Rosanne Rosanadana voice> Never mind.
