Thanks vkmaynard, I ordered the adapter. The link you posted does not work, but I found it on the elecordset.com site.

I agree with everyone else. Just take the mast down and come have fun. I'm sure not too many of us are going to laugh at ya. :D At least not mastreb. We all have had our mishaps. Mine is in the shop cause the lower unit has to be replaced to the tune of $3500 due to my idiotic mistake of catching one of the rudder lines in the prop and bending the lower unit casing. :x

This should make for a good story Saturday night. Looking forward to the tale :D :D But really sorry about the expense to bring Storm Walker back in service

Looks like timing is going to be key as the front moves this week.

Just bring your foul weather gear. A little rain never hurt anyone. Seriously if it gets that bad we can still get together and have fun.

The NWS forecast discussions show that there isn't anything driving the system so it's hard for forecasters to tell what it's going to do.

We'll all crowd around Bob's bar in his hotel room if sailing doesn't happen.

Looks like rain Thursday - Saturday and thunderstorms on Sunday :x .... will have to watch this closely as we would be traveling up on Thursday and home on Sunday. Of course every time I look at the forecast it has changed. My plan B will be a local trip to the upper Chesapeake. I am more interested in plan A though.

If tropical system Ana doesn't settle offshore and give us the 45mph gusts the NHC predicts, Saturday may be salvageable.

Unfortunately Friday for me (who will be sailing down to Southport from Carolina Beach that afternoon) isn't looking to good right now. (Due to my inexperience, if I'm not already out there, I generally stay dockside when gusts are >25mph)

If that's the case and the system doesn't move through earlier, I'll drive down to meet you guys for dinner when you put in Friday night and on Saturday morning I'll go play around in the river until you guys pass me and then fall in line to Wilmington.

My thoughts are if you drink just enough to compensate for the lean of the boat in the wind then all is right with the world. Sooo if it be hurricane then drink more to compensate. :P :P :P
