Yes, the plan is to stay Saturday night at Southport marina.
fishheadbarandgrill wrote:Oops... Flood on Saturday which means we can sail on Saturday... and probably motor on Sunday back to Southport.
That's what I saw also. However if you get up and leave early enough, 6-8 am, :( we may be able to sail a lot of the way back is what I am hoping on. :?

I also found a neat restaurant in Wilmington within walking distance that should be perfect for our group for Saturday night. Meals look to be in the $20 range. Will post update soon.

Ron,

Did you mean the plan is to spend FRIDAY night in Southport Marina? It's a long walk from Southport to Downtown Wilmington for dinner Saturday night. :D

I have to beg off. Sunday May 8 is Mothers' Day, and with the admiral's mother, her sister, and her all in the same town, there's no way she's going away.

Sorry. Maybe next year. :(

I would have thought having the mother in law in town would be the perfect reason to GO.

:D (Just kidding)

It is. But I'd better bring all my clothes, as it would be ugly when I got back, so better to not bother coming back.

Yes it is. My bad. But it's still the same weekend, and my job on Mothers Day is to work as dumb mule labor in the admiral's garden. :|

Maybe you could bring them all with you and we all could help entertain the bunch. :P Hope to see you next year and good luck with the gardening.

We will be eating at Paddys Hollow in Wilmington, $15 to $20 a plate, portions are substantial and food is excellent. Excellent place to take the admiral for Mothers Day. :D

And I'll be expecting a float plan for your upcoming Erie Canal trip. However I don't think we will be up nights waiting for you like you did with us. :P
Have you heard from Vic. Is he coming? I guess I need to call him sometime this week.
