Leon
here are a couple of reference photosm I am sorry they are not complimentary, since the dodger and doors are not tensioned as tight and trim, in fact they are just sitting there for the photo....
with no rigid attachement, but the photos do demonstrate a bit.
PORT SIDE1
PORT SIDE 2
PORT SIDE AND DOORS not tight
Starboard side
Starboard side and loose doors
Starboard side loose doors 2
It looks much nicer when everything is snapped and tensioned tight
I am sorry, but I am not going to be able to take any more photos for a while........ family matters have come up and I will be gone from this forum for a few weeks.

So the BWY dodger arrived. The quality is actually better than I expected. The plastic fittings are quite beefy and not something to really be concerned about, at least so it looks. BUT....
Two fittings need to be installed on the bulkhead and it just so happens that my bulkhead compass is in the exact spot where one of these fittings needs to be installed. So now what???

did you throw your toys out of the pram when you discovered that
my guess is thats its down to which item is easier to change, perhaps a call to BWY to see if they have had the problem before, they may have an easy solution

When I put in my enclosure I carefully drilled the holes for the dodger mounts with the supplied template - and then found they were way off.
Lesson - fit the thing in and verify before drilling...

talked to BWY today. Good news... those two feet have a good range of flexibility for mounting. Should be fine moving them inboard some. They advised to tape the frame down in position before drilling. Makes sense. wish me luck.

Make sure there are no children nearby when you start drilling holes. Just in case you make a mistake, and put a hole where you did not mean to.
I have a feeling what might happen next could get a bit colorful.
Good luck Leon.
Wish I was there to give you a hand.
With camera rolling to catch those colorful moments..... LOL.

Got her installed without problems. Epoxy wasn't needed. Nice & smooth. One hour and a half total. I must be getting better at this stuff.

PS. Did take the 4" hole saw to the top of my pedestal when I installed the control head for the autopilot. For shore power, I think I'll just run a long extension cord without drilling the hull.

hi waternwaves,
is your narrow dodger still available?
