In cabin steering on my boat is the remote for the autopilot, It works great. Only problem is no motor controls in cabin. Although my control head has the plug in for this option I havent done it.

This is
the nicest platform I've ever seen for a Mac - it's available in Sweden, but the cost to get it here in the US is obscene. It's on MSS's boat and his dealer sells them.

I made a "back porch" almost identical to that one out of epoxy coated plywood, painted white with a sand finish for traction. Total cost about $10. Can send pics if you desire.
Also on the old Macgregor sailnet site, one of the members extended the hull of his Mac 25 by 2 ft. It included space for bigger gas storage, and a concealed ladder. It was done beautifully and looked like it came out of the factory that way. Don''t know if there is any way to retrieve those pics.

hmmmm
But I have been working on two new hinges with 4 inch pins ,designed to fit the existing companionway hatchboard, that lifts the board out of the track then rotates the hatchboard back against the cockpit bench.
The only problems so far, it really is for only in port.
to weak to hold on to when exiting the cabin
interference with port lines when handling sails
so I am back to looking at some way to handle it by clipping it to the sliding hatch, and maybe leave the enclosure front window snaps loose.
