Leon,

Thanks for the simplification. by use of your pictures, you have helped answer many questions. Even the one I had about mast swivel :)

I have read many post about running the lines aft, but never did it. I don't have any problem with going up on deck to do everything, but I don't object to making life easier either 8) This is a project I am definitely looking into.

Terry, you said
mainsheet goes in the bag just below the traveller
What do you do if you need to release the mainsheet when a sudden, and strong gust slams into you :?: Can you get to the mainsheet quickly enough to release the boom :?:

Leon, in the above picture, the three line in the turning block are (from the bottom up) the main halyard, boom vang, and outhaul. What is the vertical grey line towards the left for:?:

Ray, I am usually sitting right there beside the traveller with the mainsheet in my hand, my wife likes to be at the helm most of the time. I am almost ready for single handed sailing once I get my roller furler and then I will use the AutoHelm to steer and still sit at the traveller with the sheet in my hand. It is all that excess line that I leave in the bag because it tends to get tangled among the traveller lines which I also replaced with longer lines and added double pulley blocks on the ends to get more purchase power. I copied a traveller mod in the mods section and quite like it. 8)

That's my jib sheet. The vertical line to the right is a fender tied to the lifeline. Also, ignore the red lines. That's the block&tackle for my weighted keel. Unless you're planning a similar mod, you won't be needing that.

Cheers,
L.
