Didn't exactly beach it the other day but ran the bow up to the beach close enough to drop off son and stern line (spare halyard), headed back out 50 or so feet and dropped the bow anchor and "set it well" then tilted up the motor and had son pull stern in so mom could just slip over the side into the midcalf deep water. She still complained but I am not to big on "sanding" the gel coat or realighing the hull mounted transducer just yet. We have a 12 foot butterfly (yeah it is a small sailboat for agile individuals) and the sand has worn down the bottom all along the back where it gets pulled out. Maybe that keel protector might help with this but I like the over the side into 1 foot of water for now. I might have to put the swim ladder back on if we make this a regular event. Pulling the mac back out to deep water was nothing and I like having it limited by the two lines.

i didnt make the beach ,i only got as far as the river :)
