Sounds like you learned a lot about the asymetrical.

Unfortunately the Admiral is up in SD with the Surburban and I don't have a way to transport the boat so I won't be racing. If you need crew let me know. We can pull that 60hp motor off and do some racing!

Can't you just tie a stopper knot in the sheets so they can't pull through the block? When I've been running mine I actually have the sheets behind the forestay. Maybe I've been doing it wrong but it didn't look like it would make much difference.

Hmmm! It seems like the sheets have to be in front unless you gybe just like a genoa, but I'm tacked on the anchor roller in front of everything? Thanks for the idea Yes beene i do have a chute scoop and it worked great when the wind was under 15 kts. After that the spinnaker was flapping wildly, We were accelerating just as wildly, and the crew was yelling at me. The bowman (brave lad) said there was no way he could pull the chutescoop down? No it was not a good day for my ego I'm not even going to tell you about the start of the race which was under 3 kts., and I couldn't even make it to the start line. With 5 people on board Mac's just don't sail to weather in light air. I know this and usually don't compete when the wind is under 4 mph, but this was a regatta. Thanks God the race was cancelled after only 3 boats made it around once in two hours.

The technique of hiding the spinnaker behind the jib sounds pretty cool Eric. We had a pretty difficult time getting it down when a big puff blew in. That's one reason That I let go of the sheet... that and the fact I'd removed my gloves, was trying to steer, had the bitter end in my hand, and my crew was threatening to sing another chorus of the theme from Gilligan's Island if I didn't get the sail down I get to try it again tonight. Predictions are NNE 8-10 mph, should be a good evening.
