The Admiral doesnt make many requests but this was one . So when I pass those white boats remember it is my wifes fault

It is a great picture! I grew up in Harrisburg, but don't recognize the lake.
Is that the greater PA yacht club in the background?

Here ya go, same spot last fall...

I have had both a 2001 X (White hull) and the 2005 M (Blue hull). The blue hull has proved to be much faster. I was purplexed at why this was until I read "NiceAft"s reply. Since we live in the Pacific NW the water is cold. In the summer the blue hull is heated by the sun and thus heats the water the boat is going through. This of course excites the boat and it goes faster.

Kidding aside, the blue hull does require more maintenance. Salt water splashes and scuffs show up on it much more than on the white. If you live in the hotter climates it could tend to be warmer when at anchor. But on the other side, it looks nice and classy. The whole thing come down to one thing IMHO. What does the Admiral like? If she is the main controller of the Boat Bucks then whatever you like Hun tends to free up further Boat Bucks. But, if I was to buy again, I would buy the white hull. It does not really matter what color hull you buy as long as you buy the boat and get onto the water to enjoy this life. I meet the best people on the water, sprinkled lightly with a few assholes.

We had a re-union in the fall of 2005, in Reno, of some of the guys I was in the Army with in Africa, in '63 and '64, and he was one of the guys we tried to find, but couldn't locate.

The picture was taken 300 miles north on Lake George in Huddle Bay, Bolton Landing NY. Close to Catigale, Chip Hines, & Bermuda Breeze.

I have a 2004M with blue hull. There are several White hull Macs at my
marina. I have had people walk the docks and they stopped
and complemented on the blue hull versus white...But

my blue hull does show minor scratching from the fenders...I just
wipe several coats of marine boat wax over the light scratches...

I did get one nasty scratch when the Mac tried to climb my dock in
60-75 mph summer storm last year...even with 1/2 to 5/8 inch dock lines.

Blue Water Yachts (www.bwyachts.com) out in Seattle have come up with
an inexpensive blue gelcoat touchup kit...(they had a digital colorimeter match the factory blue hull). The color matched my hull perfectly...
They included a short instruction booklet on how to prep and finish
the repair.

BWY seems to be about the best place to contact if you need Mac odds and ends...their people are tinkering with the Macs like the rest of us and seem to be able to produce just what you need...
When I contact them about something I need for the Mac they have always had what I needed...Bulkhead caps, shroud tensioner levers, touchup kits, etc. etc.
