Actually, I've got a bad knee. Initially it was diagnosed as osteonecrosis (death of the femur bone), with the only prospect being total knee replacement and the distinct possibility that it could spread to other joints as well... but that's since been revised by a specialist at John's Hopkins - thankfully - to bone marrow edema, which, given time and limited weight-bearing, will heal in about a year. Not fun, but then it ain't cancer and it ain't life-threatening, so there's plenty of folks worse off than me, that's fo sure. It's a pain though, as I can't climb up into my boat very easily, nor can I drive any of the antiques (they all have clutches).

Sorry to hear that Kev, welcome to my world. Im a 35+ year sufferer of rheumatoid arthritis. (Yes I have the Knobby hands and my fingers are starting to go crookedy ) Still I can get on and off of my boat and I can drive a clutch. But I can relate.
