Near Wilson NY, in about 35 feet of water, there is a rock that sits about 2 feet below the surface that "everyone" knows about which is uncharted and unmarked.

Apparently, if someone goes out and marks it, they are then liable for the maintenance of the ATON, and , you guessed it, if the marker blows away and someone hits it, they can sue the person who marked it...

I understand, however, there have been incidents of aliens landing on the lake at night and leaving Clorox bottles on rocks in the lake, and since we dont have tort treaties with Antares yet that might solve the problem.

That is a strange happening on the East coast. In Kansas, aliens land in wheat fields and leave crop circles. Our mid-western aliens are not yet into Chlorix bottles. :)

Nav markers in the Bahamas are provided by the same source as the chlorox bottle providers. Sticks with wooden arrows on them, sticks with bottles on top, paint on rocks. Some of the more innovative ones are even mentioned in cruising guides.
