He doesn't look too stable. Neither does the boat.

Even with the 26X's big viewing ports below, I don't do well in a swell. I can't imagine heaving-to and battening-down inside that guppy.

(And with the yummy aroma of 50 gals of gasoline, yet!)

C'mon now, its a motorsailor!!! I wonder if it'd pull a skier with a 50 hp strapped on. I agree with cat, he should raise the motor for that extra knot or 2. I was thinking of sailing to hawaii in this motorsailor just to beat the record. (Photo grabbed off a post on SA)

For those that frequent SA it was the thread with Frank M toutiing the future of yacht design. This pic was the natural evolution of macs.

I dont think he had to worry about falling out of his bunk in those rough seas.

Apparent he did not tilt up his engine? The Voyage would only have taken 40 days if he had!

There are:

1) Bold explorers who push into new frontiers
2) Morons

This guy is a #2.

I have just finished the stability test with the Head forward, Galley aft, and now for the rotating spar.

This guy's story reminds be of a quote I use in some of my scuba classes, "There are old divers, and there are bold divers. . . but there aren't any old, bold, divers. I'm sure this could be applyed to sailors.

Good One Harrison

I think this Sailor hears another Drummer, and maybe follows this one:
You start with a Sea Bag full of luck and an empty Bag of experience. The trick is to fill the Bag of experience before you empty the Sea Bag of Luck.
This Sailors experience bag must be full!

Expect to see 3 stooges?

It's truly amazing what can be done in a little boat. I can just imagine myself out there in the middle of the drink like that. I'd feel so insignificant, just a speck on the ocean.

Can't really fault him though. He wrote his own rules and crossed two oceans with his rules. The scoreboard doesn't lie and he's ahead 2-0.

Reminds me of Joshua Slocum and 'Sailing Around the world'

He made 2+ trips at turn of the 19th century.

The plus refers to the fact that he left on a third and filed no further log entries....

:(

He made it Randy
