Funny thing. My son Marine Sergeant Kevin saw Jarhead as well. He wasn't in Desert Storm but served in both Bosnia and Kuwait, and he said it portrayed his experience better than anything he had seen previously. What does that tell you about the way things happen really as opposed to how they are frequently portrayed?

I haven't seen it yet so withold judgement.

Probably not as motivational as was The Wind and the Lion, which some of you may remember, but I'll keep an open mind. I've seen that one probably ten times, and every time was ready to put on my dress blues and go out and find some bad guys to run through with my Mameluke Sword; which of course I had no idea how to use as an actual weapon. :D
