Somehow this thread drifted over to commutes - gotta tell you mine:
3 hrs daily drive to/fro. Sound bad? Not really, for most of the time before Ivan, half of the drive was along the Gulf beach, no more than 50' away. Some of the most beautiful images burned into my memory! Peaceful, just wonderful.
But, since Ivan over a year ago, the road is of course gone. Dennis came 2DAYS after the road was repaired - yep, took it out again. Oh well, life along the Gulf~
As for the Karma - there are far more nice people out there and each of us should be doing everything we can to keep that going. Someone said recently to me that boating is different than driving, everyone waves all the time because in only minutes, you'll need their help! So, keep it friendly.
You guys know I have my Jeep - everyone always waves, parks together, looks at others jeeps, it's pretty cool. Like when I was on my Yamadog rocket. A kind of fellowship. All boaters are part of that fellowship, but we Mac owners are a special breed. I saw a new blue parked in a driveway on the way home and got all excited, wanted to stop, talk to the guy, you know the drill.
I'd have said thank you for the wire, Mark! And thank you now for the idea. Where do you use the wire, in the pee hole? How long?
Michael
