Though the reference was not mine, the thread clearly wandered afield. That post (re Roosevelt) was part of a sub-thread completely unrelated to Tripp Gal.

As Franck C kindly noted (thanks!), I was clearly just playing off SJB's earlier comment and having a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun. There was absolutely no greater meaning.
I'd appreciate your not attempting to set posters against each other. I have no such intent whatsoever, and I won't be goaded into such a contest, most certainly not by you.
As to Alice, I rather appreciate women with an independent mind and a strong will... they're far more interesting, even if you don't always agree with them. Plus, they tend to be a heck of a lot of fun.
