I think that helps. I can measure the voltage/charge and also the remaining battery life (Health), but I won't get the rate of discharge in real time unless I (for some odd reason) let my tester hooked up. I think I've got it. Thanks.TLDR:

kmclemore - battery monitor. Includes digital voltmeter and ammeter. Calculates state of charge by adding or subtracting amp-hours via measurement.
