Great write-up. It sounds like you all had fun.
I've always wanted to go on a B.E.E.R. cruise but so far life has gotten in the way. I'm following the Facebook page now so maybe next year I can arrange to come along.

It looked like a fun cruise, but I’ve got a bald spot from scratching my head wondering.

It's an acronym and it is written both ways now. Originally it (almost) always had the periods in it. I've forgotten what all of the letters stand for but I think it was Backwoods Environmental (something) Rendezvous.

I always figured they came up with the words for the acronym after they decided on a name. Thanks for filling in the missing word.
