I have kept my '98 26X in a freshwater slip for about 16 of the 19 years I have owned it. It was trailered and sailed in freshwater by the PO. I do keep the rudders up, the fuel injected '13 50 HT Yamaha engine out of the water. I keep the ballast tank empty and the centerboard up. Three-point 3/8x25 mooring lines with a fourth added for severe storms. All lines doubled up. Three fenders on both side of boat. Bimini and dodger deployed. 30-amp shore power hooked up and dual multi-level battery charger on---each channel 5 amp for dedicated starter battery and dedicated house battery. All 12-volt circuit breakers off; battery selector switch in the off position. Main halyard bungeed off to starboard stay to minimize noise of halyard rattling against mast. I think that covers my marina protocol.
