Nope. did not remove foam.
Changed the bearing.. looked up it.. no foam for a few feet (until darkness.. anyway).
The foam is only at the top of the mast. I think the top 3-4 feet.

Oh.. then I might still have all of it..
I only looked up from the bottom.. (boy.. that doesn't sound good..

Bow in the mast is from being stored 1 season with no pin in the foot plate to keep the mast from rotating.
That allowed the mast to turn and subsequently bow without a support in the middle.
Added pin, kept mast from rotating while stored, no more sag in the middle.
Also, when you put the mast up, no bow.
The shrouds and forestay put everything exactly where is should be, no adjustment needed.

I hoisted it , and a friend helped to tune rigging.. its fine.. most masts at the club are similar.
