I may just drop my plan for a starboard spreader halyard and get a stern post for the ensign.

Here's the courtesy flag on the starboard spreader. This one was taken on the St. Lawrence River on the way to Singer Castle in NY.



The paddleboat had reason to be worried: our colors and intentions were very clear.
