Well, Rich, I've ended up taking a page from your book.

This past weekend I had my little boat out (1979 Boston Whaler Harpoon 4.6) on a small nearby lake and there was a guy there admiring my boat at the dock. He was talking to me about how he'd always wanted a little daysailor... so... you guessed it - I took him and his wife out! There was a good stiff wind that day, so we got it up on the rail very nicely - heck, we were flying! Lots of spray, steady wind and a beautiful warm day - an absolutely superb sail. That 'ol boy was hooked.. he asked me twice for the BW Harpoon website! I did warn him that they still bring good money, but that you get what you pay for and if he finds a nice one it will last him a lifetime.

Good thing for him that lake was too small for a Mac!

Here's a picture of my boys and me rigging her earlier that day- it was one of those 'teaching moments'!

Kevin,

Looks like you were doing a great job of teachin' those boys to delegate! :D

Ha! Yeah, does look like it! Actually, I was rigging it and showing them how, and along the way I was quizzing them on the names for all the stuff. My younger son was listening pretty intently (as you can see), but my older one was pretty much off with the clouds... oh, well... one outta two ain't bad.
