This boat looks exactly like my 97'X, rudders, step, everything but the blue hull...

Thanks for the input everyone.

Esperanza, So, how do you like your 97'X? Why are the rudders so different from newer X's, any ideas? And does it seem to make a difference?

I wasn't actually thinking of spending 16K for this boat, but I am interested in what everyone thinks it is worth? Right now it is going for about 10K, is that too much already? Assuming that it is in decent shape, what is a reasonable price?

I like my 97' well enough. I've never been around any other X's to compare it to. Why the rudders are the way they are, I'm not sure. Beings they changes them in the later models, I'm guessing they improved them.
The boat in the pictures looks to be in much better condition than mine was when I bought it last spring. I gave about 12K for mine. It came with depth finder, anchor, cockpit cushons, life vests, Origo stove, Bimini, telescoping boat hook, sails, single ax trailer and the exact same 50hp as the one in your picture.
Mine had been in the water four years without being pulled and the bottom paint had started to fail. The bottom was pretty well covered with barnacles... Nastiest little critters I've ever had to deal with. The rest of the boat was in good shape. No hull blisters, it just needed lots of cleaning.
