Has anyone modified the stock aft swim ladder to be able to use from the side and/or the bow? Seems like it could be removed easily by replacing the bolts with pins and then make some kinds of adapters to mount to the tracks and the bow.

I just tell folks to park their rumps on the gunwale, grab the bimini with one hand, and swing their legs over and into the boat.

What rests on the hull to make it stand off the hull? on the two step boarding ladder in picture
