OK folks, I don't want to catch anymore grief from this board about me sailing in Kansas. At least we don't have sharks looking for dinner.

Hard to believe that sailor wasn't in distress before he got caught in that surf. Watching the frames roll by, seems like somethings wrong with this picture. Looks to me like the boat had lost it's rudder. I wonder if this incident was covered in Latitude 38. Someone has to know the full story!

I love kayaking myself--I've got an ocean kayak Malibu 2 and an inflatable Tahiti. I readily admit, I will try surf yaking myself soon as I get the chance. Most people are generous and I am more than happy to share with kayakers -- jet skis are more the issue. And you are right, other surfers are more the main problem. I get 12 year olds cussing at me (I cuss right back). Also, you are right, those snowboarders fly! But I still don't feel like trying to pick up on that sport-- my bones are my livelihood.
