really? I didn't google any images, but it looks like more than 2/3 of the boat is unsupported

I was thinking of parking it on a driveway in Montreal.

You would need some time to work on a boat like that. And a generous budget to fix it up. And a place to put it. Good luck!

Agreed. That's what I did too.

Haha. Are you sure about that? This is how the X spends 6 months of the year. You guys in Chi-town have such short and warm winters

FWIW I will offer my observation as I have just finished helping restore an 88 D and it's trailer.
The trailer appears to be the correct Mac trailer. As mentioned, the sails look to be on the V berth. Next to the settee is the boom with the gin pole beside it. The tan/gray "stick" is the tiller with possibly the rudder and its bracket on the rear berth attached. Looks like it may all be there. I would bet the dagger board is in the slot. The trailer cross member prevents it from falling through. I didn't notice the canvas for the pop top (or the mainsheet unless that is it under the starboard cushion).
If the bottom was good, I'd go for it. BTW, 88 sails are much heavier than the later models.
Good Luck!

Any chance you'd like to be my guest over Xmas for a month or so?
