Okay! Does it matter which way I point the panels? (I probably should do it in the dark to make sure I see the light when it comes out).

The sun goes to the south during the winter and pretty much over head during the summer .
So a south facing is best .

Unless you live in OZ and then the Sun goes North for the winter and we try to follow it.

It most certainly does so. However, when connected in this manner, you see, they are then known as slenap ralos, their alter ego, and you must be extremely cautious with them.

Wear sun glasses, and you should point the panels away from your face to avoid sunburn. It's not a procedure I would recommend, because you could get caught in a loop of the time space continuum.

AAck! I'm caught in an endless loop! Last time this happened I was told my weather radar could not only see clouds but if connected in reverse clouds MAKE clouds but they said I had to spell radar in reverse to get the secret code for making clouds. I did not work for me, it did not change my radar unit at all but I guess it works for some people.

In point of technical fact, no you won't get "sunlight" (that being broad-spectrum light), but it does emit infra-red, which can be seen with a FLIR.
