Hi, Last summer was my first season on my M26, I covered a total of 132 miles under sail, and so far the Maximum speed I have attained is 9 knots four about 10 minutes. On a good day 7 knots is just right, but mostly five to six is what I have encountered so far. Bottom line is i enjoy it at all speeds.

Has anyone who owns a spinicker ever gone out in like 30 mph of wind and attempted to sail the boat downwind, empty (light)?

Hey it might well do 17 mph before the sail rips or the mast comes down.

Has anybody tried?

Funny stuff!! I know my boat does about 4 knots in the slip but all the votes say these boats plane before the sails go up.

Funny stuff

Boo! Four tires are just asking for twice the trouble.

Judas, how did I pop over to this string without popping?

Must be my computer.

Haven't really had the 26M out yet in strong winds; I think I've seen 5 knots. We've had our Mac 25 at a steady 8 knots on the GPS on a broad reach for several miles. I thought about raising the keel but I figured why mess with a good thing. We were on the final leg of a LOWISA race.
