Once it was off, I was surprised to see how MUCH bending the rudder mount had undergone in several places.
I'm going to "hunt up" a shop to make some stainless steel rudder mounts. Here in NW Indiana, finding a place shouldn't be too difficult.
Any thoughts as to what I should be looking for - questions I should be asking?

As I said the overall thing is to "copy" the shape of original (aluminum) an drill holes in the right place.
Dlanderson.. That was something I did when the trouble came up. The cut and welding was ordered to a local welder using a hand-made diagram I made.
In the other hand I live in Rota (Spain) and is too far away from US...
