@Watto--They fit in a shipping container on the trailer! I'm sure you could get someone here to purchase on your behalf.

Well, the warranty doesn't really cover anything that's going to happen anywayWatto wrote:The issue with buying new in the states is that the Mac website clearly states that the warranty is void unless you purchase from an in country dealer. Not as clear about second hand boats, but less worried about warranty then, plus they are still alot cheaper than new.
Maybe someone should drop roger mac a line to point out to him how much his overseas dealers are overchargingkind of goes against his mission statement dont you think.
I think i'm going to sail myWatto wrote:What is really annoying is for the same set up down here in aus, for a brand new M, your looking at over $70,000AUD. with the doller so strong at the moment, its daylight robbery. Even the bare basic boat is $52,000AUD. second hand Ms are no cheaper thatn $40,000AUD, and thats for early 04s. The only viable option to me is to import, with states-side second hand Ms starting at $22,000USD (about $20-21,000AUD at the moment) lets hope our doller remains strong for another 1 year, 10 months 2 weeks 3 Days (thats how long the admiral said we have to wait, something to do with a silly thing called debt)
Sorry Dive - - - but NO ONE could walk ME through anything that included carpentry, electrical work (ANY kind of wiring) plumbing, or gadget installation - - - just NOT my bagDivecoz wrote: There is little to nothing on these boats thats not been done at least a dozen times before, by members on this board and all are here to help and walk you through it.. About a month ago I priced a REALLY LOADED new(including main roller furhler, good built in air conditioning) and that very favorable quote was over $42,000 with taxes and delivery to NV - -- and believe me, it was a great quote!
I decided that was just too much for a Mac and started looking in earnest for a 40'+ motoryacht type boat for between $130,000 and $300,000 for Lake Mead, but Earnest didn't have one - - - actually, he had one but I missed the boat on itSo - - - I am still boatless in Las Vegas and here comes Summer

Now I am too old and lazy to do much of anything myself; and just want to lie around in the sun days on a big boat - - - to which I do almost nothing- - - and then maybe go play a little poker at night - - - tough life, but someone's got to do it
