I live in Palmer Alaska. I trailered my 2006 M from Alaska to Mexico in November 2009 - yes November.

We towed it on the stock trailer with a single axel. I brought along tools, spare bearings etc. and we had no significant problems. We used the boat as a camper along the way and that worked great. The boat is light and tows quite well so I wouldn't hesitate to tow it up in sumer. Just make sure the rig is in good shape.

Our boat is in Loreto, Baja California Sur now. In fact we just got back from there today. Eventually I’ll tow it back to Alaska but I won’t do it in winter again.

Last summer we moved from Georgia to Albany, NY with : Company truck, (2) SUV's, a u-haul, (2) dogs and (2) kids (15 & 7) and our 26M. It was an adventure, but all went well - plan for lots of stops and I would stop and check the Mac after each pass thru any mountains and about every 150-miles. only incident was the mast bolt on the bow came loose and we lost the nut and bolt. A home depot stop at the next exit fixed everything.

Planning and taking your time is the key, just think of it as a new sailing adventure and the stories you'll be able to tell.

You're kind'a reminding me of that movie with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz taking their honeymoon in that giant trailer.
