My thought is to essentially sit the air conditioner right on top of the traveler heading into the cabin. Obviously providing a platform for it to sit on. Then just create a cut-out (in multiple pieces) to fill where the cabin slide in door would normally be. It would seem that this would be the simplest way to set this up and my intent if to try and find an A/C that would fit in one of the cockpit wells. with the door pieces. Has anyone gone down this path? This thought came when I was looking at some modifications where the cabin door was cut into pieces to make it easier to stow.
I'd love one of the carry on type A/C's but at $999 that is not going to happen.
