Re: My new Mac
Tom,
It sounds great. And it sounds like you have a lot of very good/useful extras. I would recommend not to get to wrapped up in overly ambitious mods just yet. Take it out and sail for a season. Get a better feel for how you like to enjoy your new boat.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Jim

Re: My new Mac
Wow! Excellent! I'm envious! I only have my cuda300 for depth finding. The chartplotter, stern seats and BBQ are planned for next year. I'm hoping to sell my motorcycle this summer and talk my wife into one or more of next year's mods sooner than later.tom clayton wrote:Stern seats, BBQ, all lines aft, easy reefing main, 105% furling jib, butane cook stove, Dodger, Bimini, new shore power system outlet mounted in the transom, garmin 546s with depth finder, suzuki 4 stroke 70hp with six year warranty.
Your unnamed boat sounds great!
Doug

Sounds like a great list of options. Good choices.
You were close to us in Montana. The weather today is beautiful and warm and I'm sure you will have a great day on the road.

Re: My new Mac
Made it home to colorado only had to replace 1 marker light bulb and 1 taillight bulb. Im not sure but it looks like the tires are wearing unevenly i appears the left tire is slightly out of camber. i will check it out further on my next day off. The boat still pulled like a dream and other than the screws falling out or never put into the cabinet door on the galley i really didnt have any issues. The weather was perfect even went thru cheyenne with minimal wind I cant remember the last time that happened. The only road issue i had was when when one of the luxury busses past us it would push us over from the air spilling around the bus it really never happened when truckers passed.

Correct torque on the lug nuts is very important...I lost a starboard side wheel at 55 mph. No serious damage, but it wasnt fun. Its Amazing how that these lug bolts will simply sheer off if not tightened correctly.
Any name selected for the new Mac ?
Happy Sailing

Hi Tom,
So where in Colorado will you be. We're at the south marina at Pueblo and should be in by the third week in April. "ga'Zel" is a 20001 X and we would like to make ourselves available should you need any help with something.
We wish you nothing but the best with your new mac, jon
