Dave

I replaced mine with a stainless steel bolt that i cut the thread off and drilled to take a stainless steel "R" pin from whitworths
I use this method for all pins except where the baby stays attach to the mast

Hi Dave

I used the retaining clip just because I had some however the humpback retaining clip looks good too

The chances of the retaining clip coming out is remote whereas the humpback might under some applications

Horses for courses

Just carry some spares

Nope the M mast is bigger & stronger & longer. the X mast at 28ft is stretching the limits of that mast. the :mac19: has the same mast as the :macx: only the :mac19: mast is 24ft two sectional I extended the mast on my :mac19: to 28ft & made it a three sectional mast with a second set of upper spreaders & upper jumper struts it has two forestays & four sets of shrouds supporting it ten times more support than the regular :macx: mast at the same height :!:

Now go listen to me ya'd think I was from TX or something :D :D :D :D

J :P
