I have thought a lot about blisters as I search for a used boat. And have read everything on this forum about repair, in case the need arises when pricing out a boat with blisters. I was concerned about cost/time incurred of repair and reliability of repair. And it seems more and more of us (actually you) are reporting blisters on their boats.

Now reading the articles listed above, all of them, I think I have about come to the conclusion that it is best to leave them (blisters, actually pimpling is a better description) alone. :? Did anyone else get the same feel from the articles :?:

In another thread about blisters, I quoted from the MacGregor manual where it states if you keep your boat slipped it recommends you apply epoxy primer and bottom paint to avoid blisters. If you trailer it there is no need. From what I read, those who have done the epoxy primer and bottom paint pimples or no pimples have had very good success.

What I get from all of these posts is simply this, since I am trailering I need to do nothing. If I decide to do the bottom so we can slip it, I will only be doing what the manual recommends or the PO should have done in the first place.
