I've been chasing a few little leaks myself, the main points rainwater is getting into our 1997
is the bow chainplate that the furler connects to, the plastic pipe from the anchor locker to the hull side and the bolts holding the hinges for the anchor locker door.
Above the V berth is a black access panel, remove it and the foam inside, get someone to hose down all the bolts on the topsides to check if yours leaks here, you will need a torch.
It took a while to find these leaks as water got in and ran down the lip that holds the wiring that goes to the bow light, rainwater dripped down the cabin walls in multiple spots, the V berth, galley and as far back as the rear berth. Our boat is parked on a slight slope, transom end down.
As well as silicone I'm looking for a rubber boot to slip over the bow chainplate and both side chainplates.
