Non Skid Mildew

Sorry to make light but I can't resist it.

Every time I see the title of this thread I have this vision of a new type of "non-skid mildew". This mildew would obviously be different than the regular, slippery mildew. So the question arises: if we're going to get mildew anyway, is there some way we can encourage the non-skid type to occur selectively? That way the mildew on the deck surfaces would be the non-skid type, but that on the hull would be the reduced friction type.

Etcetera.
