Nag, Nag, Nag the object here is to get away from my Admiral or people that act just like her (well at least for Friday anyways). Dang dude I made reservations at the Marina for the 13th over a week ago. I will launch at Sandy Point I guess. Dont know the rules on firewood yet so dont know if I am bringing it yet. My Admiral (alias ball and chain) maybe joining me on Saturday so there will be no discussing what I did on Friday

. Oh and if you haven't figured out from the over a thousand posts I have made my

is called First Step. I sent you my email anything else you need

PS I hold no grudges against people that serve me alcohol

The Maryland Dept of Natural Resources site for Hart-Miller Island State Park does not mention any restrictions on firewood. You call call Gunpowder Falls State Park (410) 592-2897 for further clarification.
As far as the free "spirits" (alcohol is not permitted on the island so make sure you do not drop your drink

), are you a nice drunk?

Am I a nice drunk? I would not know because I am not a drunk. I am an alcohol quality control tester. I am ready an willing to give out the following ratings to various individual highly spirited concoctions:
1. Drinkable
2. Goes down easy
3. I need another one of those
4. Sure what the hull lay it on me I can't taste anything anymore anyways
5. What is this coconut crap
6. Oh yeah I am not a drunk, but I am nice and drunk
7. Oh God I promise I will not do this again if you just would make the hurting stop, I really mean it this time

Tflight- I'm a little concerned - you say you have not heard from mastreb yet?? Or just that you don't know his email? He is not over due is he?

From the Hart Miller Island website, "Campfires may only be built in the fire rings provided".

As far as cooking, I am bringing a wood fueled grille (Vital stove), operates like a blast furnace, works really well (20,000 btu). Will be available for others to use. Can cook on the table top.

A few months ago he showed interest in wanting to launch and store his truck and trailer att my marina for an extended period off time. I'm not sure if he still needs that option or not. Last post I read said they were in Buffalo, NY on Friday. The MUCKA doesn' t officially start until Friday the 12th. And no I don't have an email for him to pass any information or give him my ph #. If he needs some local help or tools he can look me up.

You could try PM'ing him from this site as he has responded with several inputs on his way across the country. Typically it's using the same e-mail address anyway.
Maybe he's shootin the falls!

Tony: mastreb has also been following the "tire pressure" thread, maybe you can give him a heads up there. Also, is the grill at the marina gas or charcoal?

Hey Sea Wind,
"BOAT" was a little confused and showing concern for mastreb so I tried to clear that up for him. I'm sure mastreb will find this way.
Saturday the marina has two charcoal barbecue pits near the pool.

Ok people I have split enough wood that filled two 70 gallon rubber trash bins. The pieces are about 2 1/2 ft long solid oak. I don't know what what size Robert's cool looking barbecue takes or the size of the fire bits so I will bring the chain saw too just in case. I am also bringing another trash bin full of kindling. Once we dump the wood out off the trash bins we can use them at the beach. I suggest you through everything into the fire and pick the now sanitized various beverage and food metal cans out the next morning, then through them in the trash bins. That way my trans bins will not stink at the marina. Yes plastic will burn in a fire. If anyone is handling baby diapers or litter box waste you will carry those out yourself.

The Vital stove uses small bits of anything combustible. Since I do not want to cook on dried dung, I plan on cutting up some split oak firewood on the band-saw. This stove works well on twigs to wood such as 1-1-2 inch or similar sizes. I will also supply the AA batteries. (Really, this is the coolest stove/grille I have found yet - simple yet cranks out the heat.)
For those that have yet to meet me, I am a tool junky and always looking for something neat. I will also bring my new Loos gauge if others want to figure out with me what to tension the shrouds to.
Also, be prepared for George and Grace - our two monster size Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and the life of any party.

Sorry guys, I did not know that the sail does not start until the 12th, so mastreb is not overdue. I was indeed, confused.
