BTW, Telstar's beam is 8.5' when folded, available with trailer and mast raising system ... ~ $80k!

The Gemini or Telstar would be the only upgrade for me - otherwise, the 26X is just fine! But the Telstar can make 15 knots, sail or 50 hp outboard ... with that speed under sail, bet I'd use less gas

Guys,
Keep in mind I am having the boat built under my supervision in Sri Lanka from HC router components shipped from Australia + twin outboards (no inboard) + rigging & sails from our facility here in Sri Lanka. End result a very cost effective build. FYI, am writing from the transit lounge in Hong Kong on my way back to the US for a couple of weeks, so I'll be off the net until Tues. or Wed. So I'll answer the other stuff then. MM

Viva 32 Trailable sailboat
Take a look at this one: http://www.vivayachts.com/?modul=6&strona=4
What do you think ? I might have found just What I like. It's not that expensive either. They have a viva 26 also.

Gemini
I made the switch from a MacGregor 26X to a Gemini 105 about 6 months ago.
I absolutley love the Gemini 105, I like the shallow draft, centerboards that kick up, rudders that are connected to a steerable outdrive. Very easy to singlehand, very stable platform. The room in the master cabin is almost sinful, we do a lot of 'rafting up' in San Diego and the Gemini makes for a perfect platform, plenty of built in shade and lounge areas. I have so much storage, I don't know what to put in them!!.
Best of all was the price on a 2001 IMOP, it is the biggest bang for the buck out there. The 'Culture' of being a 26X owner for almost 4 years drove me to this boat!! Value, Modifications and access to other owners.
