Re: MUCK-About Sail
Yep just when you thought is was safe to back in the water.
Let see women in bikinis
Illegal drinking
Whole lot of sailing
Hour and half away
Cant work on bathroom while I am there
Can burn some more of the freaking tree that cost me $8500 bucks last year
Oh yeah I am coming.
If I can meet a bunch of people at Sandy Point at a certain time I can bring all the firewood we will ever need.

Luna Sea (west), Have a safe trip look forward to meeting you.
Road Soldier, thanks for the wood, we would love to burn the money you spent cutting it down, just bring it discreetly. I'm not sure if we are to import wood.
Same goes for the alcohol not really allowed but as long as we don't make it too obvious we shouldn't have a problem. There was plenty of drinking last year and the ranger never showed for payment. Cans are probably preferred and remember carry in carry out at the state Park.
Here is the MUCKAbout Roster as I know it so far. If your name isn't on the list email me, If it is and your not going email me, if you see a ? Mark I am not sure or don't know the information like, launch location, names, crew, email, boat type, what ever info you would like to share. My self and a few others are locals I will get you my contact info if you need help, parts, or repairs. Basic info I will post but ph # and email addresses I will only email to you in the roster when I get it. I just ask you bare with me, I have a very busy month ahead.

Tony,
We'll be Bob and Lynn plus 2 others (We hijacked a couple we know from the area to join the fun). Compromise and Syzygy will be moored at the Annapolis City Docks Thursday night. Can you confirm the plans for Friday and Saturday night? Believe it is BYOB/dinner to grill Friday and not really sure about Saturday... dinner out?
Thanks,
Bob

FOOD PLANSTFlight wrote:
FOOD
I'm still working on the pool side cook-out Saturday at the marina. If the group gets too large we may have to use the picnic area near by on the property. I'm also trying to arrange what and how much food to pickup from the Rock Hall grocery store. I'd like to keep it simple and sum-what basic, food suggestions are welcome. I thought we could throw together a menu list, and a few of us could go retrieve it then just split the bill among the group. It sounds like a nice small town store that will prepare some foods, platters, salads ect... and they will provide a free shuttle service.
TFlight
Yes, BYOB/food Friday. Saturday it seemed the group preferred a pool side cookout over going out so I,with a little help I hope, will make a food run to bring back to the pool. If everyone rather go out to eat we will have to catch a trolley to get there and make reservations for 30+ fast.
P.S. Please remember to check the first post for information and updates.

Good you made it half way Matt- take your time and be safe.
I hope you guys are greeting Matt with a good cool drink of something when he gets there - I think he will be the record holder of traveling the most distance - he's gonna need it.

Re: MUCK-About Sail
Stopped at Wilton, IA for the night last night at the "worlds largest truckstop" (it was), and decided to skip Chicago and go see the Niagara Falls instead, so we just tucked into Buffalo NY tonight.
At this point I've put about 3000 miles on the stock (upgraded) trailer with the original single axle. Haven't had a stitch of trouble. Hubs are running cool, grease is getting all over the place, wheels are fine, boat seems happy. The tow vehicle is handling it no problem. We've averaged 64MPH overall according to the trip computer and have gotten a total of 15.8 mpg from this 3.5 liter diesel.
Crew is also handling the trip very well.

Re: MUCK-About Sail
Sounds like a great trip mastreb. We once took our boat to Los Angeles and sailed out of Marina Del Ray for the weekend. Stay safe and remember that the outopilot, if you have one, only works on the boat, not the tow vehiclemastreb wrote:Stopped at Wilton, IA for the night last night at the "worlds largest truckstop" (it was), and decided to skip Chicago and go see the Niagara Falls instead, so we just tucked into Buffalo NY tonight.

Re: MUCK-About Sail
It's official, the admiral and I will be putting in at SPSP sometime Thursday afternoon and have made arrangements to stay at the Annapolis city dock with Bob, Vic and their crews.
Tony,
I have a grill that sets up over a open fire/coals to cook on that we will bring. Is there anything we can do to help out or bring?

I hope the main body can make it by 5 pm. It's 17nm from SPST at 3.5 kts it will take 5hrs.
The plan is to leave SPSP around 12 to 1 o'clock. I'd shoot for 12 if everyone is ready.
I just made some updates to the roster I will email them out tomorrow.
