Your other comment about all the changes I will be making to my Mac (s) in the future, I believe to be untrue. The head, while I fashion it to be unusable for someone 6'7" tall and over 400 pounds, is not an unusable room for storage, so I would leave it alone on an

. The other Macs that head is a claustrophobic nightmare, blocking much to much light and air (space) from the bow berth for my taste. As I envision me getting an

, I will leave the head as it is. I believe I like everything on the boats apart from the forward heads just fine, with that one glaring exception, that silly gate latch (hasp) lol
Speaking of Ralph, I have a great story about his Corvair. It was the very first vehicle I ever owned. $400.00 It was a Van. I purchased it from a widow of a do it yourself-er that had just passed. While she was filling out paperwork on the title, I asked her about gas millage. She paused and said, " I believe he filled it up about once a year".
I figured she had misunderstood my question, and gave it no more thought, till later.
I drove that van constantly, as any new driver uses his first vehicle, and it had two didtinct features. One, it could not climb hills. It you entered a bridge at 20 MPH, that would be the top speed until you started down the other side. & two, it did not seem to use any fuel. The woman was correct, it just went and went and rolled by every gas station.
Not climbing hills was not going to do for someone in his first vehicle, so I tore into that engine. The man had altered one carb so it only drew gasoline via vacuum, with no accelerator pump. So as long as the vehicle was at a modest acceleration, that carb helped some, enough to make the engine work as it should. I undid all he had done to the carbs, and it then ran like greased lightning (compared to what it had) and I was very happy.
Looking back, I often wished I had left it alone, and documented what it was he had done to that engine. In the months I drove it as I purchased it, I saw almost no fuel usage and estimate the miles per gallon I was getting at over 200 MPG. Odd story, but very true. Ralph Nader was protecting the public, or protecting the auto industry? The alterations to that engine were not very significant. They were easy to do, and undo.
