A couple weeks ago I found a new mac product on ebay from soft topper. Interior cushion covers exactly what I needed, and only $295. I thought there would be a waiting line for them so I ordered. got them within a week. Also ordered the carpet for my x.
I am very pleased with this purchase. High quality
material and fit like a glove. the boat looks new inside. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I have the carpet set and a boom tent( pics posted here in may).....love them both. My wife comments on the carpet, everytime we go out. Just installed the cabin organizers...they "sucked" up all those odds and ends that used to live on the galley top or table. The mounting system is clever. Great products!!

I just got my cockpit cushions from them, and since my X came without cushions I needed the foam as well. They can supply you with a complete set of custom cut foam as well as the cushions. The cost was $150 for the complete set of foam and the complete set of screw snaps for mounting. I also got the new carpet and the gas tank compartment covers which really improve the cockpit.

Tell me about the snaps. Are they mounting the cushions with snaps instead of velcro like the factory used?

They have snaps mounted on the cushions (on a piece of nylon strap sewn to the cushions so you can push and pull only the snap, not the cushion fabric) and if you don't already have snaps screwed in your cockpit let Bob know and he'll ship you a bag of screw in snaps with the purchase. Simply spot where the snaps go, drill a small hole and screw them in. I put a bit of silicone on the threads just to be safe. Give Bob a call at 1-800-810-7227 .

I got interior cushion covers and they have the velcro patches sewn in the same locations as original factory cushions. Boat bimini also sends
velcro to replace the velcro on your hull liner

I just ordered a set of cushion covers in "Teak" which strangely is a lighter color than the "Buckskin" ones they show in the pictures at their web site. They sent me a pict and it looks like that color will be great, even better than the brown. I also ordered the carpet and a set of 3 wall organizers. It should all arrive on Friday. Once I get it in place I'll shoot some photos.

It will all be in our boat at the BWY rendezvous next week for anyone who wants to see it. Be sure to stop by during Fridays afternoon boat tours.

Has anyone seen the teak/holly flooring kit that Kelly Hanson sells? I am not a great fan of carpeting on a boat in general and on the Mac in particular I find the first couple of feet going forward (by the galley on the later Ms) gets disgusting pretty quickly because of all the dirt, leaves etc. that blows in (Sundancer lives on her trailer and the stuff blows in through the space between the companionway door and sliding hatch).

Haven't seen it yet - they say they'll soon be posting a picture. But at $425 for the set it seems a bit steep. A full 4x8 sheet of teak & holly will *just* do the job in a 26X, and costs around $160 now. Assuming the pattern makng doesn't really take that much, that leaves $265 for cutting, sanding and finishing... seems high, but then we're talkin' boatbucks here, I suppose.

on the 2 walkways gets dirty after a season or 2. Washing / scrubing did not renew the original carpet. I now buy inexpensive polypropelene (not astroturf-like, but carpet-like) or other synthetic carpet, backed like the original Mac carpet, and similar in color, off the 12 foot roll at Lowes or Menards every few years, cut new pieces using the old as patterns, and drop it in place for a season or 2. Carpet under the table stays clean 3 -4 years. Some new carpet cutoffs unravel at the edges but I suspect heat sealing with a big old soldering iron would stop that. Cheap and clean and easy.

with regard to wooden flooring,dont you have problems with the damp causing the wood to expand and contract?

No, not usually, since the stuff is plywood and doesn't really have that much of a problem with expansion. Besides, with any luck it never does get soaked!

i admit to being a bit surprised at there not being an expansion prob,i have to fit a wooden floor in my living room shortly and you have to leave a 10millimeter gap around the edges to allow for expansion.
