I've never done curtains ... just don't feel the need ... but must agree that there's quite a bit of heat gain through the horizontal front windows. That's why I especially like baldbaby's idea, a roller sunscreen sold for automotive use. Thx Daniel
These roller shades use suction cups. I actually siliconed them in place to make them semi-permanent. I think the silicone could be removed if desired.
Is that screen mounted with suction cups? If so, it seems like gravity is likely gonna take it down one day.
On edit - oops, didn't see the other posts about suction cups. Anybody get these things to stay on for a long time without using glue? Personally, I'm more of a screwer than a gluer. The PO of my boat tried doing everything with suction cups and two sided tape...not really a long term solution and I've had to replace everything with screws now. Needless to say, its a much higher quality boat now than when he had it....just need to finish my deck lights mod now, got the wire fished over to the mast step.
When attaching things to the inside liner, including the rails for my window curtains, I've found that the 3M two sided high density tape used to attach trim and molding to the outside of cars, works very well. This tape can be purchased at automotive paint stores. It works very well and holds with out coming loose. No holes need to be drilled and it can be removed with some patience.
