Crew in Stockton, California.

Post by Bill ( My Pleasure) »

I have a 26X which is usually kept in Stockton at a marina. I am a casual sailor, translation=I'm not that good and I am rather cautious. I like to be out on the water enjoy the scenery and motor around quite a bit. We're not into drinking. I do some photography on trips. Usually we go uout on weekdays to avoid crowds. My wife and a friend go with me. I am 65 years old. I have a profile on this site. I am considering finding a crew member, or possibly a couple. To join us on occasion. We usually go out for about 4 hours. I am looking for someone that knows something about sailing or has a strong interest in casual sailing. and a love of the peaceful enjoyment of nature. I would have put this in the classified ads, but I haven't seen anything for crew there. I live in Citrus Heights, California but sail in the Delta from Stockton. If interested leave me a message with your e-mail address.

I was hoping that someone out there is would like sailing on the Delta. I don't care whether the "crew" has their own boat, or not. My boat is kept at the really nice Stockton Sailing Club. This is supposed to be the biggest sailing club West of the Mississippi. Some say it is the best club. It is a beautiful place. Many of the sailors there are excellent sailors. I'm still learning. I am 65, but I have a young mind. MY wife isn't into sailing so she usually stays in the front berth. The other guy that goes out on the boat with us isn't really that interested in the sailing, but is a very nice down to earth guy. My offer ios a good way to go sailing for free. I know that I have spent thousands on my boat each year. The boat is kept in a slip so there is no work to launch or retrieve it. I do believe in safe boating. I do not have a 5,000 watt stereo or a bar on my boat.I love music, but love the sounds of the river more when I'm out on it. Bill
