That's very funny. And very european.

I wonder how one wheel of traction will work on a launch ramp?

Reminds me of my German father, who wanted to saw off the roof of our VW microbus and build a fiberglass shell that we would lift off, flip over, attach a mast, and sail in when we got to the lake.

I lived in Germany for almost two years... so I've seen that scene where the bike riders go up the middle at 100km/hr in a Stau (permanent, forecast, officially recognized and mapped traffic jam). That's when some driver or passenger opens his door to step out and pee in the road. Screech! Bam! Splat!

I love to see innovation and ingenuity... but I think when it comes to pulling my X out of the water on an algae covered ramp at low tide, I'll keep using my Expedition 4x4 with limited slip axle and all terrain tires!
